The Harvey Cat Family

Bert Harvey

Bert and his wife Joyes recently moved to Fisherport along with their grown son, Perkin. Bert ran a successful village store that was the centerpiece of their old hometown, and has no shortage of advice to give his son about running his own grocery. He can't help but take any declined advice as a slight against his many years of experience.

Joyes Harvey

Whenever Perkin had a scrape, Joyes was there with a bandage. Whenever he was upset, she was there with a hug and a cookie. And when he moved to a new town to start a family of his own, well, she just couldn't let go of her little boy. You can often see her around the store, looking for anything to help with.

Perkin Harvey

Unsurprisingly, Perkin feels a bit smothered by his parents, though he knows they mean well. He never planned to run a general store like his father did, but a specialty grocery for a town that lacks any local farmland. Some of his customers appreciate the idea, but he can often hear Larry Beaman and Bert loudly reminiscing about the days when you could pop down to the village store and complete all of your shopping for the week.

Dorothy Harvey

Dorothy orders the supply for the store from farms across Sylvania, and she stays very busy. When she’s not on the phone bargaining prices and arranging shipments through the rail and sea, she is driving down to the station or the harbor to load the orders onto the truck. She's considered hiring staff, but the cost of shipping produce from across the country is already cutting into profits.

Austin Harvey

Austin is an outspoken environmental activist and opposes the logging of the forest to the south of town. He once gathered up a group of kids at school to protest at the sawmill and write letters to the mayor. Their voices were heard, and the city is now planting a tree for every one that is cut down.

Zara Harvey

Like her older brother, Zara is also interested in the environment. Her topic of interest is overfishing, and she called into question the practices of the local fishermen. Far from getting upset, they invited her whole class on a field trip to show exactly what they do to protect aquatic populations.

Laurie Harvey

Laurie looks up to her older siblings and their strong convictions, but sometimes she feels like she doesn’t care about anything that much. She doesn’t want to appear that way, so she helps them out by painting signs and rollerskating around the town with petitions.

Liberty Harvey

Liberty is the best at hide and seek! She seems to be able to squeeze herself into the tiniest of spots and can be as quiet as a mouse. This talent often irritates her mother, who doesn’t always agree with her on the right time to be playing.

Note: Bert has a red apron, which he only wears at work. Laurie is ‘Lauren Fisher’ from the outdoor sports set.
